Laundry Reader

Laundry Center Reader.

The Laundry Center Reader (LCR) is a wall-mounted card reader with a vertical swipe-through style card slot. It features a 28-key keypad with a two-line, 20-character-per-line alpha/numeric fluorescent display. The LCR reads magnetic stripe ID cards and communicates with the Optim9000 System to authorize the activation of washers and dryers and to facilitate machine repairs.

In its basic configuration, each LCR can support eight laundry machines. In its expanded capacity with Laundry Center Multiplexers (LCMs), the LCR can support up to 64 machines across a laundry center network.

The LCR also provides an interface for a Laundry Coin Acceptor (LCA), which is a coin mechanism housed in a strongbox. The LCA enables a laundry machine to be activated using coins as an alternative to the magnetic stripe ID card. The Laundry Center Readers' rugged metal construction makes it tamper-resistant and enables it to withstand the abuse of high-use environments.

This equipment allows you to provide your cardholders with the same type of convenient card services they already enjoy with the other applications of the Optim9000 System.
