Security Monitor Reader

Security Monitor Reader.

The Security Monitor Reader provides operators with a simple means of obtaining up-to-the-minute information on building security and allows authorized staff to override controlled doors as well as acknowledge and silence alarms without having to call or return to the central System location.

The Security Multiplexer allows operators to configure the System to monitor or trigger virtually any equipment that uses a dry-contact or simple switch, including video cameras, thermostats, water detectors, sensor zone equipment and door hardware.

Through the use of multiplexers, each Security Monitor Reader installed in a building can display the condition of up to 64 alarm points within that building. It provides a centralized location for staff cardholders to override controlled doors. The staff can override a door state by swiping a valid card and entering the override information on the reader's 28-key pad. In addition, local alarms may be acknowledged and silenced with a card swipe. The Security Monitor Reader acknowledges and silences the alarm immediately and returns the System alarm state to normal.

The Security Monitor Reader's rugged metal construction makes it tamper-resistant and enables it to withstand the abuse of high-use environments.
