Vending Reader

AT&T CampusWide's Vending Reader is easily mountable with a vertical continuous swipe-through style card slot. Viewed as a Point of Sale (POS) device, the Vending Reader provides currency and card transaction accountability and full reporting capabilities.

By using a tamper-resistant, rugged metal construction each Vending Reader is built to withstand the abuse of high-traffic environments. The Vending Reader supports Micro Mech, single price and Multi-Drop Bus machine interfaces.

AT&T CampusWide's Vending Reader allows for online authorization of all card transactions and displays messages and the cardholder's account balance on the 2-line x 8-character display after each valid vend.

During offline conditions, PermaMemory provides protection against communications loss by storing up to 2,000 transactions in an offline mode. The stored transactions are automatically uploaded when the reader returns online. In the event a power loss occurs, stored transactions, pricing structures, interval, and cumulative amounts are retained in PermaMemory. When power is restored, the Vending Reader performs self-diagnostics and becomes fully operational in less than 30 seconds with no operator intervention.
