 Note:          This service bulletin is meant for technical per-
                sonnel with experience working on solid state com-
                munications equipment.  Damage caused by im-
                properly installing this modification may cause
                ICOM to charge for subsequent repairs to the
                product.  ICOM does not warrant this modification.

 Subject:       Transmitter delay may be excessive at low tempera-
                tures (can be up to 2 or 3 seconds).

 Procedure

  1.  Remove the front and rear covers.

  2.  Remove the volume and squelch knobs by pulling up on them.
      Push down the high/low power and lamp switch.  Remove the
      four screws in the metal chassis corners.  Unfold the chas-
      sis.

  3.  Replace R262 (currently 560K) with a 2.2 Meg resistor (ICOM
      P/N 915-01277).

  4.  Reassemble the radio.
