I would like the gently remind list members that it is generally
considered rude to make posts in ALL CAPS, and would request that
list members refrain from posting if the caps lock key on their has
somehow malfunctioned and is stuck.
Also, when you first join the list your posting privileges are
automatically defaulted to require moderation of your posts; however,
as time goes on and you demonstrate that you can constructively
contribute to the list, and you make several postings to the list
your moderation status is set so that all of your posts go up to the
list in real time with zero moderation or oversight. If you then at
some point turn into a bone-head and significantly misbehave on the
list you get set back to the default moderator status. After most
people make a dozen or so posts they get flipped to un-moderated
status, but if those same people folks are abusive they posts are
more likely to remain in moderated status for a while. A very small
number of folks like to play a game called "moderator baiting", and
while I may let it slide for a time or two after it happens a couple
of times that person may find it rather difficult to post to the list.
Please be nice to the rest of the list, and please be nice to the moderator.
