If I did that, my clients would have me committed immediately and on lithium
for life.
For a real dramatic effect, hire a foley artist, and have them create a
satanic ritual complete with live animal sacrifices..........
All fun aside there are tracks you can buy online that you can loop and get
the same effect. If all else fails, you can keep it simple by using a batt
op'd loud electronic "beeper" and get the same effect, creates a nice spike
in the grass when there is a problem......

Using a vacuum cleaner as a background sound only works for about
20-30 minutes per room but only assuming that the cleaning crew is
obsessive-compulsive.
Rug shampooing on the other hand can take several hours.
So "vacuum" first, move the furniture, vacuum some more, then
"shampoo", move the furniture back and shampoo the balance.
Note: Be sure to actually bring a vacuum cleaner and shampoo system
with you to overtly bring into the area, but play the sound from an
iPod and a good speaker system instead of creating the sounds
directly from the vacuum or steam cleaner.
