If someone were to offer the seller around $1500 they might be able to
pick it up at a good price.

If he has all or at least most of the antennas and cables an offer of
$2000 would be fair.

Mason sold a ton of these units, and quite a few of them were used and
purchased by the intelligence agencies before F.G. Mason got busted.

If this is an ex-government unit it is worth more, and if there is any
history behind who used it within the government or what team it served
on the value is drastically more as it becomes a collectable as opposed
to a function item. For example, I have a collectable Mason A2 that was
owned by a recognized spook, and have paperwork that tracks it back to
Ft. Meade, and it has the special mods that were only done for the
federal government.

A "collectable A2" is worth a lot more merely a functional A2... bid
accordingly.
