Ian,
Just finished training on the RF Hawk last week.
1. It beats lugging around a steamer trunk through the airport.
2. The onboard signal comparator/analyzer is a nice feature not to mention the GUI interface.
3. My favorite is the ability to target cellular up & down links to identify spy shop "gadgets"
4. I was concerned about reports that you might need filters and external preamps, however
that need has not arisen in my application.
I just completed a government sweep in the middle of DC, and did not have any issues.
5. The GPS feature with intergral mapping may come in handy down the road.
Others my not agree, but I think the unit is ideal for its intended purpose.
They are making a firware change in a few months to provide a feature similar to the RTSA.
Then you will have a hand held unit, capable of seeing a signal within a signal.
