There's many ways to do this, but the thing is, what do you want. Remote
tracking over the internet is possible including lockout, shutdown, ignition
disabling. But, since as you say it's your vehicle and all you want to know
is where it goes and how long it sits, speed, avg., max., A Garmin will do
that, hidden under the seat, retrieved and hooked to a computer it can give
you a complete visual printout of all of those and then some. A Garmin
E-trex is under $100.00 and has this capability. You might want to look at a
professional system too such as http://www.advantrack.com/ It really does
depend on what you want.
