Celular anti interception device

I saw a celular phone of the representant of Military Industry in my
Country with an small device and that guy told me that this chip
(Placed near de sim card) as make in a modify celular Nokia 1100 phone
shut off the phone when detects any interception of the conversations.

My question is:


Is true that this device or any other REALLY can detect an
intecrception of the call ?
How any device can detect an AIR or in the SWITCH interception, both
are virtually undetectable?

Is this is true where can a found this chips and/or modifys phones
that REALLY detects when your are being instercepted.
