Greetings all
Argument: Direct quotes from seller reads as follows;
While this unit is reasonable functional given its age, it is being offered here as-is, and sold as a relic of museum pice of TSCM gear. Since it contains older, original capacitors in the AC power supply and the spectrum display it would be wise to replace same prior to field use. The system is being sold as-is, for parts, even though it is a functional unit. There will be no refunds, rebates, or returns.
1- Seller removes him or her from liability of reputation should it be found by the buyer or whom ever that the capacitors are suspect
of not being to tolerance it can be construded as fact.
2- Seller clearly states : The system is being sold as-is ,for parts,.[sic]
100% judgment call just stating the facts as is.
I rest on this issue.
Kind facts

Great issues to mention,
I do not see anything in the listing about shorted capacitors, merely
that they are older and should be replaced if the TSCM'er plans to ued
to piece as an operational unit.
The equipment is more valuable if the capacitors as left alone, and the
thing is maintained in its original condition.
Source voltage is good, unit powered up well, and signals are accurately
received on all RF modules.
None of the transistors are shorted, and all are functional, also non of
the resistors are shorted.
Many of the accessories which will be included with the auction were not
shown, and the buyer will get way more then the are looking at.
This unit was very exposed to a de-mil, and she is a still a virgin.
I have a massive library of images of the unit that you can find at the
following links, which any collector will be interested in, and as you
can see nothing has been cut out, shorter, or damaged, and the unit is
physically intact:

To any collector the wear marks are valuable, and the fact they is has
not been repainted of modified in any way make is even more valuable.
