The piece of hardware connected to the computers that records
performance characteristics, like they can tell how many RPM the
engine was going when you flattened that old lady, if you had your
seatbelts on, what the radial velocity of the sensors were reading,
etc. etc. etc.
Its being used by law vultures to screw you in crash cases presently.
Hot rodders tune the chip for performance, and undoubtedly theres
software available to reset and modify parameters.
