Interesting idea.
However, wouldn't it be easier to use conventional voice stress analysis?
Perhaps sensitive thermal imaging to detect minute changes in facial
thermal distribution would be helpful too.

Both methods are completely passive and can be used from distance; VSA
even on recorded data, assuming the necessary frequencies are preserved.
There's enough gear out there to force some transparency into the
governments. Let's use it.
