Here's a relative new company :
http://www.pdaelectronics.com
They have a whole range of GSM detectors !
Not shure but looks like they don't do CDMA,iDEN...etc
Winkelmann UK is one of their resellers...so they seem to be OK.
I'm still waiting for one that records signal-levels vs time...so you
can also
detect sleeping GSM-devices that only transmit their update signal
every
few hours or so.
One of their units does have a latch alarm...a LED will flash if there
was
any transmission in the past...unfortunately that wont help to much
since you really have to see a pattern (steady update every few hours
for example)
to get a good positive and be shure it repeats all the time at the same
RF-level.
They say they have (LF) pulse-filters (217 Hz) to avoid false
triggering from non cellphone sigs
not shure if they also use good (smallband dielectric or SAW) filters
in the RF-path.
If they use simple wideband-filters (LC) they might suffer from
"deafening" from nearby
(out-of-band) high-power transmissions.(the base-stations)
If you buy one...ask them what type of RF-filtering they have
(LC,SAW,Dielectric ?) and if out-of-band signals are rejected at the
RF-input
I also don't see a speaker for audio-verification...not absolutely
neccesary
but it will help.
