I have to find a TDR suitable for inspecting cabling in vehicles for interception and taps. What makes it tricky is the short runs of the cable, which are sub-10ft range. The distance measurement is not critical, as the cabling will be going under physical inspection in whole, if TDR waveform indicates something abnorma whatsoever.
I understand, that even with 2ns pulse length, I have to use jumper cable to avoid blind spot. However, can anyone suggest a portable TDR with shorter pulse length? Or, in case of 2ns, I would be very glad to receive any suggestion of which TDR may be of use for short cable runs.
