Out of curiousity I took my CPM700 and the magnetic probe and played
around with an Olympus digital audio recorder. The receiver didn't
register much of anything while the recorder was off. When it was
recording there was a definate signature, but nothing really
distinguishable from other similar type objects and electronics
nearby. I suppose if it was hidden on a bookshelf amongst books and no
other metallics close by it would be obvious. But, the CPM700 really
sang when the recorder was on standby. It gave a very high pitch noise
like a fly on meth buzzing around. That was very different than
anything else I've ever heard with it. Probe had to be within three
inches to register.

How effective would a bandpass filter (say 32.0 KHz - 32.9 KHz) be
when used with a loop antenna with the range of 20 Hz to 50 KHz?
