POE is dangerous from a TSCM perspective because you can draw a huge amount of amperage from the hub, at some pretty high voltages and use it to drive some pretty sophisticated or high power devices. It is always best to keep the volts and amps on a secure line as low as absolutely possible, and to keep all VOIP traffic separate from all regular data traffic.

It is the light blue helicopters that you have to worry about, you know the ones with the hydrogen powered whisper drives, and the thermal imaging mind control/reading antenna pods, which can disguise themselves as clouds. Mostly observed in the Los Angles area approaching from their secret bases in the mountains, and in the woods of Idaho.

Pretty cool s= ite about powering devices over Ethernet
I really don’t like POE as an installer for a variety of reasons, but it can be somewhat useful for low powered surveillance devices.
For all list members that have  problems stemming from black helicopters, life will get easy, as you can now rip out all cat 5 out of your landlords building instead of looking for white vans and black helis……….<efg>
