these have been around a while. I've had a video clip of one of them being
demonstrated in my files for 7 or 8 years - even passed it along to the
local cops (Suffolk County PD, NY) way back when. If I remember correctly I
got the vid of this phone sometime prior to 9/11. When I got it from one of
my contacts he told me it had recently appeared in Eastern Europe - it very
well could've been Turkey but I can't swear to that; only that it was
Eastern Europe somewhere.

These were first reported about two years ago in Turkey. I have asked about
these weapons on several occasions and hey have not entered the US market as
of yet. I have also asked about the availability in the UK and while I lost
my best contact in the London area last fall I have not heard anything about
them entering into the UK as of yet. I have also seen photos of a single
shot model resembling a Nokia cellphone.
