It tells me that while New York city is a major population center, it
is a city where it is unprofitable to perform sweeps out to about a
25 mile radius of New York. San Francisco on the other hand is an
excellent population center, AND and excellent location to perform
sweeps (on the West Coast the three cities that are "Golden for
sweeps" is Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

It also tells me that a sweeper has to be able to travel quickly by
ground transportation and be able to hit certain population centers
near to them if they want to be doing more then 2 sweeps a month.

Look at it like a farmer would look at a database that tells him he
best part of his land to cultivate for crops, and what part of the
lands to avoid cultivating and instead to build a barn.

These census numbers provide a digital map of where your services are
needed most, and where they will be best received.

The first numbers to start with is the population density per square
mile, followed by the average income per square miles, then the
population density times the average income per square mile. This give
you the population "hot spots" in the country, and lets you identify
major urban areas. Next to want to find where the median points of
the population are located, and how the median points has shifted
over time, and what caused it to shift. Repeat this with with the
commerce median points, and then the personal wealth median points.
This results in the nation (including Canada) being split into 11-12
distinct zones of commerce, and gives you the areas which have a
unique macro-economy. Once you have these 12 zones you can analyze
the numbers inside each of the zones.
