This system is still a classic when it comes to performing sweeps on
telephone lines, and they can be found for peanuts on E-Bay, but only if
you know what you are doing.

It separates the men from the boys, and the spy shop wannabes from the
hardcore sweepers.
They have also been used to successful detect and locate eavesdropping
devices on the telephone lines used by an intelligence agency that was
not caught by any other (remarkably overpriced) TSCM gear, thus making
it one hell of a hero in certain government circles for short money.
