Subject: Driving Rule of Thumb

Here is a good rule of thumb regarding driving;

When on a sweep do not plan to drive more then 10 hours per day, nor
should you plan to drive more then 500 miles in a given 24 hour
period. A lot of folks compute this to be an average speed of 45 MPH
to give yourself some safety margin. This rule will help you live a
long and healthily life, but if you do decide to run longer driving
hours or drive significantly longer distances then those mentioned
please do us all a favor and sign an organ donors card right away so
that society can benefit from your mistake.

Also, watch your vehicle weights, because if your vehicle weighs over
10,000 lbs there are some significant legal restrictions on your
daily drive time and distance that do not apply on vehicles that do
not weigh as much. Yep, you can fire up a Town Car and fly across the
country side at 75 MPH (if the posted speed limit says you can), and
can drive for 30 hour straight in the lighter vehicle, but woe be
unto the sweeper who is running a heavier vehicle (ie: van, pickup
truck, box truck) on the 15th hour.

Remember, you can't do the sweep if your in a hospital bed.
