Perhaps some are "lost" as part of "Canary Traps" (to use Clancy's
name for the exercise)?

Others may be "lost" as dispersement to sources, gifts to usefuls and
so on.

Consider the source of the information discussed, the "Media." Hardly
trustworthy.
