To access the SCPI interface, you will need to use software such as Agilent VEE or NI Labview. Additionally, you can use the Agilent VISA COM library from a programming language such as C++, C#, or VB.
An example C# program is provided that shows how to use the VISA COM library. There is also some example Agilent VEE programs.
Another way to issue SCPI commands and queries is to use the application that is included with the Agilent IO Libraries.

Then select from the main menu and enter the resource name corresponding to the channel and port defined by the VSA SCPI Configuration tool, as shown below:
Once you have connected to the 89600 VSA SCPI interface, you can send commands and read the responses using the tool.
