Whenever an error is detected by the SCPI interface, an error message is added to the error queue. When the SYSTem:ERRor? query is sent, one message is moved from the error queue to the output queue so the message can be read by the controller. Error messages are delivered to the output queue in the order they were received.

The error queue is cleared when any of the following conditions occur:

• When the analyzer or PC in which the 89600 VSA Software is running is powered ON or restarted

• When the Agilent Translator Framework application is restarted (e.g. when the SCPI configuration is updated: Utilities > SCPI Configuration)

• When the *CLS command is sent

• When all of the errors are read from the queue

When there are no errors in the queue, the response will be
