This directory contains the software depot package for the E1437. You will
use the swinstall program to install the new software on your workstation.
For more information on swinstall please read the file "swinstall.readme" 
in this directory.

Please follow the instruction below: 

(The instruction below assume you have already transfered the e1437.depot.Z 
 file to the /tmp directory on your local system)

1. Login to your system as root 

2. Uncompress the e1437 depot files
     uncompress e1437.depot.Z

3. Run ONE(1) the following swinstalls and point it to the e1437.depot file:
   a. New installation: 
          swinstall -s /tmp/e1437.depot E1437A_SICL
          OR
          swinstall -s /tmp/e1437.depot E1437A_VISA

   b. Update or re-install: 
          swinstall -x reinstall=true -s /tmp/e1437.depot E1437A_VISA
          OR
          swinstall -x reinstall=true -s /tmp/e1437.depot E1437A_SICL

   c. DAT tape installation: 
           copy the file e1430 depot file to DAT tape:
                dd if=/tmp/e1437.depot of=/dev/rmt/0mn bs=10k conv=sync
           swinstall -x reinstall=true -s /dev/rmt/0m E1437A_VISA
           OR
           swinstall -x reinstall=true -s /dev/rmt/0m E1437A_SICL

4. Make sure that you configure either the SICL or VISA interface before running the e1437 software.
   Run one of the following depending on which version of the E1437 software you loaded above.
     VISA: /opt/vxipnp/hpux/hpvixa/visacfg
     SICL: /opt/sicl/bin/siclconf

NOTE: To get a listing of what is included on the e1437 software depot:
         swlist -d -s /tmp/e1437.depot
