Make sure that you configure both the SICL & VISA interface before running the e3238s software: SICL: /opt/sicl/bin/siclconf VISA: /opt/vxipnp/hpux/hpvixa/visacfg A codeword is REQUIRED to use this software. Call the Lake Stevens for Codewords. You must supply your systems machine ID and HP order number. You can get your systems machine ID by running the following command on your V743: uname -a EXAMPLE: HP-UX mar87s1 B.10.20 A 9000/743 2010858723 two-user license Send the results of this command, a list of product options you want and a brief description of what you will be using the software for to Measurement Solutions Division and we will send you codeword(s) to run the software. Download the e3238snoash.depot.Z file from this directory. 2. Uncompress the file (uncompress e3238snoash.depot.Z) 3. Make a backup copy of the e3238s.cfg, E3238s and codewords files in the /opt/e3238s directory. 4. Install or Update the sofware: swinstall -s /tmp/e3238snoash.depot -x reinstall=TRUE "*" 5. Recover the codewords file you backed up in step 3 6. Copy and edit the default e3238s.cfg file (/opt/e3238s/d.e3238s.cfg) and the E3238s (/opt/e3238s/d.E3238s) file to reflect any changes that you have made to them.
