HP 1144A 800 MHz Active Probe![]()
|
To help you minimize circuit loading, the HP 1144A boasts 800-MHz bandwidth, 1-M ohm input resistance, and 2-pF input capacitance. It can be connected to any instrument with 50-Ohm inputs. An external 50-Ohm termination can also be used with high impedance inputs.
The HP 1144A can access power directly from the HP 54542, HP 54540, the HP 54522, the HP 54520, the HP 54615B, the HP 54616B and the HP 54616C oscilloscopes. The HP 54500 family scopes scopes provide power for two channels of active probing. If four channels are needed, a special one-input, two-output adapter is available (HP 01144-61604). Two adapters are needed for four channels of probing. The HP 54615B, the HP 54616B, and the HP 54616C provide power for one channel of active probing. If two channels are needed the HP 01144-61604 can be used. If the HP 1144A is used with any oscilloscope not listed above, then the HP 1142A power supply is required. The HP 01144-61604 adapter can be used with this power supply to provide power for two channels of active probing.
Versatile accessories allow for easy connection to your device under test. For example, the dual lead adapter combines with the two mini-pincher tips to provide a solid connection to .050" pitch surface mount devices for hands-off probing. Also, the ground bayonet has a short ground lead to minimize measurement errors such as ringing, caused by parasitic inductances.
For hands-off probing of SMT components with .5mm (.020") to .8mm (.032") pitch, an additional accessory is available: the HP 10075A .5mm MicroGrabber Accessory Kit.
