HP 11974A Preselected Millimeter Mixer, 26.5 GHz to 40 GHz

The HP 11974A mixer is preselected from 26.5 to 40 GHz to eliminate the need for signal identification. Preselection reduces mixer overload from broadband signals and reduces the interaction of local oscillator harmonics with the device under test. True signals can be quickly located, and software development for automated measurements is greatly simplified. The HP 11974A features advanced barium-ferrite technology and comes with a standalone power supply. It is especially useful for broadband millimeter signal analysis, electromagnetic interference measurements, and unattended monitoring of millimeter signals. Upgrade kits are available to assure the compatibility of HP 8566A/B spectrum analyzers and the HP 70907A external mixer interface module. All HP 8560 E-series spectrum analyzers and the HP 70907B external interface module are fully compatible with the HP 11974A.
