The HP 5087A amplifier provides the flexibility required for distribution output signals from the output of high-quality frequency standards. Low distortion and excellent isolation make it ideal for providing multiple outputs from atomic or crystal frequency standards. The three input channels will accept 10, 5, or 1 MHz, or 100 kHz, in any combination. The number of outputs for each channel is selectable up to a total of 12 outputs. Voltage levels are individually adjustable from 0 to 3 Vrms for each of the output channels.

The modular HP 5087A design lets you structure the product for a variety of distribution needs. Special combinations of input and output modules are available.

Low noise

Shielding around each input and output plug-in amplifier assures minimum noise and crosstalk. The tuned output amplifiers provide clean signals and high channel-to-channel isolation.

Exceptional phase stability

A 115/230 volt power supply provides well-regulated current for the amplifiers. Line voltage fluctuations have no measurable effect on the amplitude or phase of the outputs. Provision for external 22-30 volt DC connections insures uninterrupted operation in the event of AC failure.

Versatile

The standard configuration (Option 031) accepts the normal frequency standard signals of 5 MHz, 1 MHz, and 100 kHz, and provides four outputs at each of these frequencies. Alternate configurations provide a variety of input and output connections and frequencies.
