Product Summary
The HP 5334B counter offers high-resolution measurement power with
versatile signal conditioning, triggering, and external arming features
to handle a range of demanding measurement applications. Rise and fall
time, pulse width, and AC/DC voltage can be measured at the push of a
button or with a single HP-IB command. Automatic trigger level and
attenuator settings provide adjustment-free measurements that are
displayed in units of your choice.
Options include extended frequency to 1.3 GHz for
communication and navigation applications.

Product Features
- 200 ps time interval average resolution, 2 ns single-shot resolution
- Selectable resolution and measurement time
- Full complement of measurements
- External arming increases measurement capability
- Two matched 100 MHz A and B input channels (optional 1.3 GHz C channel)
- Independent selection of signal conditioning for both A and B channels
- Proven reliability and excellent RFI protection
200 ps Resolution
The high resolution measurement power of the HP 5334B makes it suitable
for IC access time and propagation delay timing applications.
Selectable Resolution and Measurement Time
Digital gate time selection makes it easy to trade off resolution
and measurement time. Gate time is selectable in 1 ms
increments from 1 ms to 99.999 seconds. Resolution is at
least 9 digits per second from 0.001 Hz to 1300 MHz.
Measurements
Measurements include time-interval,
time-interval delay, and averaging.
External Arming
External arming/gating allows
synchronization with external events. This feature lets you
easily make pulsed RF communications and radar signal
measurements to 1.3 GHz.

Manual (Auto Trigger OFF):
Continuously adjustable over ±5.1V, displayed by
Read Levels in 20 mV steps. In X10, ±51V displayed
in 200 mV steps.
Preset: 0V NOMINAL in Sensitivity Mode.
Auto Trigger: See Automatic Measurement Section.
Accuracy (Read Levels):
X1: ±30 mV ±1% of trigger level reading.
X10: ±300 mV ±1% of trigger level reading.
Damage Level:
Common Input: All specifications are the same as for separate
operation except for the following:
Sensitivity:
15 mV rms sine wave to 20 MHz.
75 mV rms sine wave to 100 MHz.
210 mV peak-to-peak at a minimum pulse width of 5 ns.
Dynamic Range (X1):
Impedance: 500 kohm NOMINAL shunted by <85 pF or
50 ohm NOMINAL.
(Resistance values are measured at dc and capacitance values at 10 MHz.)
EXTERNAL ARM
Front panel ARM Input can be used to determine Start and/or Stop point
of a measurement. External Arm can be used with all measurements except
