HP 70600A Microwave Preselector, 2.7 GHz to 22 GHz

The HP 70600A provides optional preselection for the HP 71200C microwave spectrum analyzer. Without a preselector, measuring signals of unknown frequencies can be time-consuming. A preselector eliminates the image and multiple responses generated by the harmonic mixing technique used in the spectrum analyzer. When more than one input signal is present or when the frequency of a signal is unknown, use a preselector for quick signal measurements. A built-in attenuator in the preselector provides overload protection and allows you to set the proper input level to the HP 70905A/B RF section for optimum dynamic range. The HP 70600A preselector can be peaked easily for best amplitude accuracy. The preselector tuning is stored as DAC values that can be recalled for consistent readings when automating your measurements. Enhance amplitude accuracy especially when tuning over large spans or changing frequency bands, by using the preselector hysteresis function. Simply activate the function to remove excess magnetic h ysteresis from the YIG-tuned preselector.
