The new HP 81200 data generator/analyzer platform is the right choice for you if you are an R&D engineer or a test engineer performing functional and parametric tests on digital subsystems, ICs, or boards.

The HP 81200 provides stimulus and response capabilities in one platform. With up to 120 channels, it is freely configurable to your needs as a standalone data generator, as well as forming a platform with any combination of analyzers and generators.

With up to 1Mbit memory depth per channel and a frequency range of up to 660 MHz, the HP 81200 is the ideal tool throughout the design verification process from first turn-on, through operational check and characterization of design margins, to detailed analysis of problems or critical parts of your design. It helps you to test your design under real-world conditions and bring up your prototypes faster.

General Characteristics Save/recall: pattern segments, settings and complete settings plus segments can be saved and recalled. This is limited only by the internal disk space. HP E4840A   Small mainframe - holds three modules. Includes imbedded
            PC with 3.5" disk drive, hard disk and installed Window NT
            and HP E4873A software.
HP E4849A   Mainframe - holds 10 modules, nine when option 002 is installed.
            Includes HP E1401B VXI frame plus a PC module with 3.5" disk
            drive, hard disk and installed Windows NT and HP E4873A
            software.
HP E4848A   Expander Frame - holds twelve modules. Includes an HP E1401B
            VXI frame plus an HP E1482B VXI extender module and all
            cables for connecting to the mainframes HP E4805A and the
            HP E1482B modules.
HP E4805A   Central clock - clocks up to eleven HP E4841A modules and
            up to two HP E4805As. Required in all systems that include
            analyzer front-ends, and for all systems with seven or more
            HP E4841A.
HP E4831A   Clock and data generator - holds two generator front-ends,
            any mix. Clocks up to six HP E4841A modules. The HP E4841A
            is an alternative to the HP E4805A for smaller generator-only
            systems.
HP E4841A   Data Generator/Analyzer Module - holds four front-ends, any mix.
HP E4843A   660 MHz, RZ/NRZ , single channel, 2.5 Vpp.
HP E4846A   200 Mbit/s, NRZ, dual channel, 3.5 Vpp.
