HP 84125C Microwave EMI Measurement System, 1 to 40 GHz |
To help electronic equipment manufacturers save time by eliminating the need to piece together and characterize components required for testing electromagnetic interference (EMI) at microwave frequencies, Hewlett-Packard has produced the industry's first fully configured and characterized system for accurately measuring EMI in the 1 GHz to 40 GHz range from intentional and unintentional radiators.
The HP 84125C is fully integrated and calibrated for testing products to rigorous U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations and proposed European EMI standards above 1 GHz. Microwave EMI regulations affect a wide range of wireless networks products including cordless telephones, pagers, security monitors, spread spectrum transceivers, computers, and Fibre Channel LAN products. Electronic device manufacturers, EMC test laboratories and regulatory authorities will find this system a valuable addition to existing EMI test capabilities.
The HP84125C microwave EMI measurement system has the frequency range
and sensitivity to meet your needs today and in the future. The system
includes an EMC analyzer or spectrum analyzer, antennas, amplifiers,
and a set of high-pass filters that prevent overload by reducing the
level of the fundamental at the analyzer input. The cart-mounted
equipment is connected to a microwave test set with a three-meter
harness containing low-loss cable to maximize system sensitivity. The
functionality of the HP 8546E analyzer and the microwave test set is
combined using a system downloadable program (DLP). The system DLP
provides softkeys on the analyzer display that allow easy setup of
measurement parameters. The displayed data is corrected for antenna,
cable and filter losses, and amplifier gains, allowing direct viewing
of emission field strengths (in dBµV/m).
