HP 8571A Option E40 Block Down Converter

Product Summary

The HP 8571A option E40 block down converter is an accessory for the HP 8571A and 8572A EMI receivers that translates the 22 to 40 GHz millimeter wave frequency band down to the 2.8 to 20.8 GHz microwave range. The output of the down converter is connected to the receiver. The receiver has a resident downloadable program which computes the correct frequency offset so that the frequencies can be read directly on the receiver display. The unique design of the block downcoverter provides much better sensitivity than conventional external mixers and results in a receiver system noise figure less than 25 dB.
