HP 87130A Attenuator/Switch Driver

Product Summary

The HP 87130A is a 3 1/2 inch, full-width System II attenuator/switch driver capable of driving up to 248 bistatic electromechanical switch or attenuator sections. The HP 87130A is controlled over HP-IB via Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPA) commands. It has been designed for use in both ATE switching systems and computer-controlled bench top applications. The HP 87130A has no front panel controls. Manual control is realized through an ITG driver and a computer controller. The HP 87130A can drive 31 switches via seven additional HP 84940A driver cards.

Switching Speed:		Sensing delay is adjustable, per relay, 
				from 5 to 1275 ms ±5 ms.  Pulse 
				width is also adjustable, per relay 
				from 5 to 1275 ms ±5 ms.  The final 
				switching speed is a function of pulse 
				widths, sensing delays, the sequence 
				of relays driven, and the state of the 
				chosen channels.

Remote Programming
All functions are HP-IB programmable except the line switch and bus 
address.  All functions are programmable to conform with 
IEEE 488.2-1987 Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI).  
The HP 87130A can output over the interface almost all settings, 
error/malfunction codes and operation status.
