Product Summary

The HP E1301A B-size VXI mainframe provides 9 slots, two of which are located internally and are dedicated to housing the 2-slot HP E1326B multimeter. Three A-size slots are also available for installing, for example, modules like the HP E1324A RS-232C/422 terminal interface. The HP E1301A is identical to the HP E1300A in function but features a front panel and keyboard for manual control and troubleshooting without the use of HP-IB, making this an ideal mainframe for remote applications. This mainframe features a built- in command module (functionally identical to the HP E1306A Command Module) with built-in HP-IB interface. Standalone operation is easily configured with DC power and IBASIC controller options. If you are using HP IBASIC, you can also add a 3.5-in floppy drive (Opt 005). This ruggedized drive provides storage for programs and data as well as for autostart routines. The disk drive can be ordered with the mainframe or field-installed later. The 3.5-in floppy drivesupports 256 KB, 720 KB, and 1.4 MB formatted capacities. Internal RAM volume, optional internal floppy drive, and external SS/80 drives are supported.

The E1301A mainframe offers the following optional features:

• HP IBASIC controller language (puts the power of an HP Series 300 computer in the instrument)
• 1 or 2 megabyte (MB) non-volatile memory for program and data storage
• DC power for portable or UPS (uninterruptible power supply capability)
• 3.5 in. floppy disk drive (LIF or DOS format)
• 20 MB hard disk
