HP E1324A RS-232C/422 Terminal Interface for VXI Command Modules

The HP E1324A RS-232C/422 terminal interface module is an A - size, 1-slot, register-based VXI module. It can be used as an additional VXI module for systems containing an HP command module (HP E1300A/B, E1301A/B, E1306A, and E1406A).

This terminal interface module allows access to command module functions, such as the VXI resource manager, directly from a remote terminal. The RS-422 port can communicate with the command module over longer distances at higher baud rates. When used with optional HP IBASIC (HP E1405B/06A) command modules and internal command module of the HP E1300A/B/01A/B (not supported with the HP E1306A Command Module except as a terminal interface), the HP E1324A can communicate to additional RS-232 peripherals (i.e., printers, modems, etc). The built-in data handshaking and the internal 8 KB data buffers reduce the overhead of managing communications.
