HP E1413B VXI Scanning A/D Converter, 100 KHz, 64 Channels

The HP E1413B Scanning A/D Converter is a C-size, 1-slot, register-based VXI module designed for high-performance data- acquisition and computer-aided test applications where the key requirements are:
 
  • High-speed scanning
  • 16-bit resolution
  • High accuracy: 0.01% of reading
  • 4 mV to 16 V full-scale input
  • 64 kSa dual-ported FIFO buffer for block transfers
  • Current value buffer for on-line monitoring
  • Automatic self-calibration
The HPE1413C succeeds the HP E1413B and is recommended for new applications; the E1413C is equipped with the new HP QUIC wiring interface terminal block. The HP E1413B is still available for applications requiring the original terminal block.

The HP E1413B use SCPs (Signal Conditioning Plug-ons) to condition a variety of signals. The list of available SCPs can be found in Ordering .

sample (averaging multiple samples will improve accuracy by reducing 
noise).

Temperature Measurements

Any SCP can be used for temperature measurements with thermocouples, thermistors, and RTDs, but the HP E1503A, E1508A, and E1509A provide better accuracy. Temperature accuracy: All specifications for the following were measured with the A/D filter off. Reference One of the 64 channels can be used to measure the reference, or a known reference temperature can be downloaded to the A/D converter. Thermistor and RTDs Require an input SCP and the HP E1505A Current Source SCP for excitation. Engineering units: Conversion to decrees C are made on card at full speed. Transducer types: Thermocouples: E, E ext, J, K, N, R, S, T (linearized to ITS90 per NIST Monograph 175) Thermistors: 2252, 5 kOhm, and 10 kOhm RTDs: 100 Ohm type 85 and 92 Measurement Range: -200 to +1500 ºC (dependent on transducer type) Accuracy: 0.003 ºC to 3 ºC total error (not including transducer type)

HP E1413Bs.	Otherwise, order the HP E1413C instead. Note: all SCPs
are 8 channels unless otherwise noted.
