HP E1562E VXI Data Disk/DAT/SCSI-II Interface Module![]()

The HP E1562E consists of a dual SCSI-II interface and dual 4 GB disks. If you will be using external SCSI-II storage devices for your application, select option 1BD to delete both internal drives. The HP E1562D consists of a dual SCSI-II interface with a 4 GB internal disk and a 4 GB internal DAT tape for data backup. (Option 1CD deletes the tape drive.) The HP E1562F contains two 4 GB disks without the SCSI-II or throughput controllers and is used to increase throughput rates and/or throughput depth when used with either HP E1562Dor E1562E.
External interface: Fast-wide SCSI-II differential connectors on front panel (the SCSI-II port connected to the DAT drive in the HP E1562D is narrow single-ended)
Performance
Sustained transfer rate: HP E1562D: >5 MB/s (disk) (Data backup and data capture to DAT: 510 KB/s without compression) HP E1562E: >10 MB/s using both disks. (Using external SCSI-II devices, 16 MB/s max. on each SCSI-II interface) Error rates, recoverable: Disk drive: <10 errors in 10^13 bits transferred Tilt: Disk operation allowed on any axis (DAT constrained to three orientations)
