[ Summary ][ Features ][ Specifications ][ Key Literature ][ Ordering ][ Assistance ][ Related ]

The new HP E1618A 622 Mb/s Optical Line Interface and E1609A 0-622 Mb/s ATM Stream Processor for the HP BSTS provide higher layer OC-12 testing available. This solution addresses the growing need to complement basic physical layer and ATM protocol conformance validation with stress testing, performance and Quality of Service (QoS) measurement, signalling and LAN/WAN interworking. This allows designers, manufacturers and providers of ATM/B-ISDN products, services and networks to reduce development time and bring ATM-based products and services to market faster.

The HP E1618A 622 Mb/s Optical Line Interface provides OC-12c (SONET STS-12c and SDH STM-4) access to the system under test and extensive SONET/SDH generation and analysis.

The HP E1609A 0-622 Mb/s ATM Stream Processor provides access to the 155 Mb/s cell bus for passing cells to and from the Cell Protocol Processor (CPP) for higher layer applications, such as signalling over the OC-12c interface.

The new HP 622 Mb/s solution can be used in the following applications: Basic stimulus/response testing; stress testing at ATM layer; ATM & AAL-5 traffic analysis; Quality of Service measurements; performance characterization/market claims verification; fairness testing and multiple channel analysis.

The HP BSTS is a modular test platform for high-speed ATM transmission and protocol testing. The BSTS can perform comprehensive testing of all layers, from physical through higher layer services. Due to its modular nature, you can create a customized configuration that suits your specific testneeds.

The industry standard HP BSTS is ideal for R&D engineering, product development, quality assurance, type approval, performance and conformance testing.
