Product Summary

The HP E2272A Dual 8-to-1 Relay Multiplexer is a single- wide, register-based M-Module. Use the HP E2272A as an input or output multiplexer for a matrix or other switching configuration.

It consists of 16 DPST latching relays and is organized as two separate 8-to-1 relay multiplexers. This allows the selection of 1-of-8 two-wire signals to connect to one common destination while the other set of 8 two-wire signals can be selectively connected to a second destination. By moving a jumper on the module, you can configure the HP E2272A as one 16-to-1 multiplexer.

With each M-Module having its own address within the HP E2251A M-Module carrier, you have the flexibility to use the M-Modules in many combinations. This flexibility allows you to get the amount of functionality you need in smaller blocks, lowering your overall system costs. For cabling access, only 5 HP E2272A M-Modules can be placed in one HP E2251A. Please see the HP E2251A for further M-Module slot requirements.

Note: These limits apply only if the product is installed in a humidity-controlled (<60% RH) environment where airborne contaminants and transients are controlled, and no connection is made to power mains. If these conditions cannot be maintained, then 60 VDC, 48 VAC rms or 68 VAC-peak voltage limit applies.
