HP E2426B Motorola 68EC020 Preprocessor Interface

Product Summary

The Motorola 68EC020 preprocessor interface module has the ability to probe either PGA or surface mounted QFP packages. Full speed support is available. The preprocessor provides a mechanical and electrical connection between several HP logic analyzers and the microprocessor. Software automatically configures the analyzer labeling address, data and status line. When a program trace is displayed, the data is disassembled and 68020 menmonics are listed. This alows you to correlate the captured data with the controlling source code. Two different technologies are employed to probe the QFP versions of the chip. The surface mounted 68020 is probed via a probe which clamps directly onto the chip. No socket or other modification is required of the targeting system.
