HP E4594A Internet Advisor -T1 Telco Undercradle |
The HP E4594A provides telcos with a cost-effective solution for expanding the capabilities of the HP Internet Advisor to include full and fractional T1 testing.
Through the HP E4594A’s Windows®-based graphical user interface, technicians can simultaneously control two full-duplex drop-and-insert transmitters and receivers. The product's intuitive Windows graphical user interface, combined with context-sensitive help and on-line manuals, makes the T1 Test Advisor extremely easy to use, even for occasional users.
Optional plug-in modules provide support for datacom testing
capability while also providing an easy method of extension.
Upgradability is accomplished either by a disk containing new
software and firmware, or over a dial-up telephone line. Results
and setups can be stored to disk for later analysis. SLC96 testing
includes TR-TSY-000008 SLC modes and makes full use of graphics
to ensure easy hookup and testing.

Status
StatusIndications: Measurement running, RX pulses, frame sync, pattern sync
Alarms Monitored and Displayed: LOS, LOF, AIS, yellow, idle, pattem loss, density violations
Alarm Criteria: D4 frame loss is indicated when two out of five Ft bits are in error, ESF frame loss is indicated when two out of five frame bits are in error, D4 yellow alarm is indicated when bit 2 of each DS0 has been zero for 255 consecutive channels. ESF yellow alarm is indicated when alternating eight ones/ eight zeroes has been detected in the ESF link. Signal loss is indicated when there are no pulses for >150 ms. Pattern loss is indicated when there are greater than 100 errors in 1000 bits. Density violations are indicated when there are excess zeroes or excess ones in accordance with ANSI T1.403
Through Mode: Single or multiple time slots are dropped or inserted internally or externally leaving un-selected channels undisturbed. (For external, an optional datacom plug-in module is needed)
