HP E6312A Advanced MPEG/DVB Compliance Verifier

The HP E6312A Advanced MPEG/DVB compliance verification software is a software package that runs on the HP MPEGscope Test Systems; extending this instrument's capabilities into the field of MPEG-2/DVB protocol compliance analysis. E6312A provides compliance verification to a level of detail not yet seen in the digital TV market. This package goes far beyond the basic syntax checking incorporated in competing products. It will ease the task of MPEG-2/DVB transport stream analysis significantly, and in the process reduce the design time and costs for MPEG-2/DVB protocol products. It is particularly suited to equipment validation and acceptance testing.

HP E6312A is the advanced set of 496 tests incorporating all of the system layer test of Opt 011, plus an additional 380 tests covering video Elementary Stream, audio, data, buffer, DVB subtitling and teletext analysis. It is targeted at those customers who need to complete tests on all aspects of the MPEG protocol stack: from video coding through to Service Information analysis. This product will be invaluable during the development of both MPEG encoding and multiplexing equipment.

This compliance test suite tests transport streams which have been captured by the HP E6277B MPEGscope Plus. Tests are run automatically, examining the captured transport stream in great detail, and providing detailed error reports: which refer to the exact location of the error and indicate the exact part of the specification that is violated.

For those who have already purchased the Basic version of the MPEG/DVB Compliance Test Suite, E6313A is available to upgrade to the Advanced version.
