HP E7313A ITEX TTCN Editor

The HP E7313A ITEX TTCN Editor is a leading TTCN editing software available as a standalone product from HP, or as an option in HP's TTCN productivity tools product E7310A.

It provides an integrated environment to edit an abstract test suite and to generate the corresponding executable test software. In fact, a "HP TTCN Translator" menu is available in the Telelogic Organizer, which allows you to generate the C from the abstract, and then the code can be customized and compiled.

It offers Telelogic's ITEX organizer environment which can also launch HP's TTCN translator software.

The HP-ITEX TTCN Editor offers a very convenient way to create portable TTCN Test Suites, including the option of importing test cases from existing suites. ITEX comprises tools that resolve inconsistencies by comparing the cases you import to the ones in your current suite before they are merged.

As an alternative to tables, the HP-ITEX TTCN Editor comprises a graphical tree format, complete with editor. The format is fully compatible with the standard TTCN format and offers an easily intelligible graphical view of test cases.

In the verification phase, the test suite or selected parts, are analysed for errors in TTCN and ASN.1 syntax and semantics. Any errors are immediately highlighted in the TTCN tables and in the Browser.

• Supports IS and DIS versions of TTCN MP, ASN.1 features, TTCN amendment delivery 8.4 and concurrent TTCN
• Abstract Test Suites may be specified using any TTCN editor
• Provides extensive checking routines to detect both syntax and semantic errors in ATSs
• ETSs can provide detailed traces with embedded TTCN statements
• Translates an Abstract Test Suite (ATS) specified in TTCN MP into an Executable Test Suite in C. The ETS can then be compiled with any standard C compiler
• Includes Test Manager to manage the execution of any Test Suite
• Generates input to the Test Manager for browsing the test suite structure and filling PICS/PIXIT questions
• ETSs are targeted to run on HP BSTS
