VXI Direct Access Interfaces

The VXLink is an interface that connects your PC controller directly to the VXI backplane without going through the slower HP-IB interface or command module. It includes an ISA card, a VXI device card, and a 3-meter cable to connect the two. VXLink is ideal for high-performance systems that use an external PC controller.

The EISA/ISA-to-MXIbus Interface also connects your HP-UX controller directly to the VXI backplane. It is installed in an EISA slot of your external Series 700 controller and connects via a cable to the VXIbus Extender in your VXI mainframe. The MXIbus Interface/VXIbus Extender combination lets you take advantage of the higher performance of HP PA-RISC controllers and direct VXI backplane access and lets you use multiple mainframes connected together.
