CALEA Annual Reports to Congress

Section 112(a) of CALEA directs the Attorney General to submit an annual report to Congress by November 30th of each year on the amounts paid during the preceding fiscal year to telecommunications carriers under section 2608 of Title 18, United States Code.

Inspector General Reports

Section 112(b) of CALEA, as amended, directs the Inspector General of the Department of Justice, after consultation with the Attorney General and the telecommunications industry, to submit a report to Congress every two years.

Wiretap Reports

Each federal and state judge is required to file a written report with the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AO) on each application for an order authorizing the interception of a wire, oral, or electronic communication (18 U.S.C. 2519(1)).
