About the Book Reviews

By John "Birdman" Bryant

John Bryant's work has received praise from many men of superior accomplishments, including scientists, philosophers, theologians, Nobel prizewinners and many others. These include such well-known individuals as actor Dudley Moore, economist Milton Friedman, Goldwater speechwriter Karl Hess, linguist Noam Chomsky, psychologist Albert Ellis, UFOlogist Jerome Clark, parapsychologist John Beloff, Canadian columnist Doug Collins, civil libertarian Michael Greve, psychologist Hans J Eysenck, author Robert Anton Wilson, syndicated columnist Linda Bowles, syndicated cartoonist Leigh Rubin, poet Richard Armour, anthropologist Philippe Rushton, philosopher Paul Gottfried, and many others too numerous to mention.

Because of the media blackout on Mr Bryant's books, including the refusal of a number of major magazines even to sell advertising space, most reviews of his books have been obtained privately rather than from media book reviewers. In this context it should be kept in mind that major publishing houses have financial resources which enable them to "buy" fulsome book reviews, so it is little wonder that the books emanating from the large publishers, tho usually praised to the skies, often turn out to be junk. Reviews of Socratic Press books, on the other hand, are obtained only from experts in the field or those otherwise believed to be qualified, so the reader may rest assured that whatever the reviewers of our books say in their reviews is their own genuine opinion, and not something influenced by hidden obligations or under-the-table payments.
