LIBERTARIANISM
THE PHILOSOPHY OF
INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM & RESPONSIBILITY
"Libertarianism is the belief that
the government should keep its nose out of our business and its
hand out of our pocket." --John "Birdman" Bryant
Here
are some of the Birdman's comments and criticisms of this vital
philosophy
Why I Hate
Liberals AND Conservatives -
The fertile soil in which the libertarian philosophy
grows
- Getting
Smeared Left and Right - Why
both liberals and conservatives hate the Birdman
- Property
Rights and the Liberal-Conservative Dichotomy
- How this dichotomy keeps people confused, and thus
keeps them from seeing that the real problem is too much
government
- How to Be
Free - Which is to say, how to
avoid government
- Smart
and Stupid Libertarians - There are
three mythological concepts which many libertarians hold
sacred: natural law, natural rights, and the principle of
non-aggression. The Birdman sets them straight.
- Race and
Groups: The Libertarian Blind Spot -
Libertarianism is not supposed to be politically correct,
but many libertarians have been cowed by the liberal
zeitgeist, and spend much time trying to prove that they
are not, after all, 'racist'. As it happens, however,
racism is necessary for preserving liberty. The
Pragmatist, a well-known libertarian journal and
publisher of several of the Birdman's articles, wouldn't
even respond to this one - Deja vu?
- Liberal
Libertarian Conservatism - The
surprising fact is that liberals and conservatives, as
well as libertarians, are all correct about their most
basic concerns, tho they obviously differ on others. Here
the Birdman sets forth the philosophical basis for
uniting liberals, libertarians and conservatives in
pursuit of common interests and mutual understanding.
- Twelve Facts
Jurors Are Not Supposed to Know -
This was prepared as a handout to potential jurors, and
was intended to update the flagship pamphlet of the Fully
Informed Jury Association, but these people have gone PC
and do not now seem interested in doing much worthwhile.
- They
Can Get You If They Want To: The Establishment vs You and
Me - If you have to seek justice in
the courts, don't get your hopes up - At least this essay
will prepare you for what you are up against (the wall,
mutha fukka!)
- A Libertarian
Defense of Spam - With a few
uninhibited comments on anti-spammer faux-libertarians
Gary North and Jeff Elkins of LewRockwell.com (For more
on Little Lew-Lew and his sidekicks, see the Rockwell
Files in the Net Losses section)
- The
Non-Aggression Principle Is Stupid: A Letter to L Neil
Smith - El Neil is a well-known
libertarian and author. The NAP is holy to a lot of
libertarians, including El Neil. Here is a letter on this
subject from the Birdman which El Neil did not answer,
and which the Birdman rather suspects he can't.
- The
Idiocy of Anarchism - A lot of
libertarians go beyond the normal libertarian opposition
to BUG (Big Ugly Government), and instead chant the
mantra of doing away with government altogether. To say
this is crazy is putting it mildly, and here is why.

rather than a libertarian
