Hello, Birdman,
I didn't mean to imply that you were wrong about Egyptians being white, I only meant to show that by 450 BCE Herodotus claimed they were black.  Remember, that was allegedly 2000 years after the Great Pyramid was built.  It was also after they had been conquered by the Ethiopians, Assyrians, and Persians.  Herodotus seals his argument that they were black, in Book II,121, by stating that they also had woolly hair.  I agree with your argument, but you must go back at least to 1000 BCE.  Rameses II, The Great, ruled for 67 years at around 1250 BCE had red hair and a narrow hooked nose, according to examinations of his alleged mummy.
Now that I have your attention, I would like to add that I think there are four important Works that everyone should read in order to eliminate most of the silly superstitions that our society is unfortunately laden with.  Here they are in the chronological order of their publications.

1.  The Histories,circa 450 BCE, Herodotus, 490-420 BCE.
 Most astounding revelations:
These revelations happen to be the things he didn't  write about.  He never mentions Hebrews or Jews, Jerusalem, Moses, the second Jewish Temple, and any of the sacred myths of the three great religions.  He does mention Palestine, six times, but always as a province of Syria.

2 The Geographies, circa 12 BCE, Strabo of Cappadocia, 63 BCE-25 CE.
Most astounding revelations:
Moses was an Egyptian Priest who becoming disgruntled with Egyptian animal like GOD worship and Greek Human form God worship. He believed that God, who encompassed everything in the universe, would never create anything  with his likeness, therefore teaching that it was a sin to bow down to any image or icon.  He ruled a part of lower Egypt (near the Mediterranean) and left Egypt with many priests and followers and founded Jerusalem, which was desolate, but had plenty of water.  He became very popular because of the simplicity of his religion, but after his death superstitious priest took over and introduced such things as circumcision and encision.  And from these superstitions arose bands of robbers who began harassing and seizing the properties of their neighbors and soon subdued much of Syria and Phoenicia.  Among the tyrants that ruled them, Alexander was the first to proclaim himself King instead of priest.  When they became too annoying to their neighboring peoples, the Roman General Pompey went over and overthrew them and appointed a Herod to the priesthood.  A later descendant of this Herod, and much superior to him, was appointed King by Augustus Caesar.
Note:  Mainly because of this, I believe the first Jews were a criminal organization hiding behind a religion as a first line of defense.  They were first destroyed by Pompey circa 70 BCE, then by Titus circa 70 CE, and then Julius Serveros, under the rule of Hadrian executed the coup de grace circa 135 CE.   I believe this was the final end of the ancient Jew.  Next came the Christians.  They formed their religion around the Historical fact of an evil organization's intimidations and exploitations of the common people, and these peoples fight to remain free of this evil force.  Unfortunately, the Christians created, for the unscrupulous, a ready made religious, complete with all the necessary ancient mythology to become a reputable religion, with all the bells and whistles to attract the gullible and naive. and become a force in the control of the masses.
Strabo also does not mention Hebrews, the temple, or Biblical creation nonsense.
The Bible likely stole the story of manna from Heaven from Strabo's story of the balsam bush from which was harvested a white paste which ws ingested.

3.  The Works of Philo Judaeus of Alexandria, Circa 30-50 CE, Philo, 20 BCE-50 CE.
 Most astounding revelations.
The Jews immigrated to Egypt from Babylon.  On the Life of Moses, I,VII,33.
The Septuagint (The Torah, The five books of Moses) was translated from Chaldean, not Hebrew as the Judeo-Christians say.  On The Life of Moses,II,VII.(37).  The Septuagint story goes:   Philadelphus, the third in succession after Alexander the Great, who subdued Egypt wanted all Works translated into Greek and stored in the Library of Alexandria (circa 250 BCE).  He drafted 72 Rabbis, 6 from each Hebrew tribe to translate the holy Hebrew book.  All completed the translation in 72 days, with each translation being identical, even in punctuation.

4  The Works of Flavius Josephus, circa 73-100 CE, Flavius Joseph, circa 37-105 CE.  These works include The Jewish Wars, The Antiquities of the Jews, the Life of Josephus, and Against Apion.
Most astounding revelations.
The Works of Josephus were thought to be lost, but when they surfaced circa the Twelfth Century CE they were found not to include any mention of Jesus Christ, even though the Antiquities was published in 93 CE.  This created quite a shock in Christendom.  To quell this shock the Roman Catholic Church announced that it indeed did have a copy and it did mention Jesus.  However, this short paragraph was easily proven to be a forgery.
Antiquities, Book 12, Chapter II also tells the Septuagint story.  However, in his Preface to Antiquities, Josephus acknowledged that the Jews did not give all of the books to the Greeks, but only the Books of the Law.  Anyhow, if the Septuagint already existed, why would Josephus rewrite it?  I have yet to find a Christian clergyman to admit that their story of the Septuagint is hoax.
One can tell, by reading the Antiquities, that this is the original bible, that the Roman Catholic Church stashed away after copying it, with minor revisions, and calling it the Old Testament.  Some of the minor revisions were omitting the part about Moses being a famous Egyptian General and war hero, and that the Jews built the pyramids.
One can also tell by reading 'Against Apion' that Apion, who headed the Library at Alexandria, thought that those Hebrew myths were pure bullshit.  The Greeks were pretty smart.

As an added important trivia, read The Bible, Psalms 19:6 which the Vatican used as proof that the Sun rotated around the Earth, in order to put Galileo on the rack.  Also note that in Matthew 16:28 (read 16:25-28) and learn that either Jesus was a liar, or that he has already returned.
